He has been described as the entrepreneur’s entrepreneur. Roy Jay is headquartered in Portland, Oregon but has a business foot print that can be found from coast to coast. He owns or operates no less than 10 small and medium sized businesses ranging from limousine transportation companies to parking garage operations to joint ventures in food services, advertising and other ventures. He is one of the guiding lights behind the Association of African American Meeting Professionals which is currently in national development. Jay attributes his success to thinking outside the box. Spending a considerable number of years in law, advertising, marketing and public relations, he has an attitude of being inclusive rather than exclusive.

He and his affiliates are one of the largest owners of internet real estate (domains) on the west coast. In Portland, Oregon, a predominately white city, Roy heads the powerful and influential African American Chamber of Commerce which is ranked Fourth of all chambers in the region boasting over 940 local members. He has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Martin Luther King Jr. Drum Major For Justice Award, he was recently recognized by the American Red Cross at their annual Breakfast of Champions Heros Award for his outstanding work in Project Clean Slate which has already assisted thousands in getting a second chance by expunging minor criminal convictions and converting thousands of dollars in delinquent traffic fines to community service with the ability to restore drivers license privileges. This effort alone has removed barriers to job, housing and other opportunities that people never thought they were able to obtain.
