Roy Jay has been selected by the Daily Journal of Commerce as one of the News Makers of The Year for 2010. The business newspaper honors individuals each year that they recognize that have made significant contributions to the overall benefit of business in the community.

Jay, a native of Portland has been crowned as the mastermind and brainchild behind numerous business and community projects including the multimillion dollars Smart Park garage contract, Award Winning Project Clean Slate of 2005 and most recently an historical City of Portland resolution which he guided to passage which will for the first time ever guarantee minorities and small businesses a seat at the table to evaluate all RFP/REQ responses involving millions of dollars in contracts.   Portland, Oregon becomes the first city in the country to officially enact a resolution which goes far beyond previous good faith efforts.

Jay serves on numerous boards, committees and commissions and has offices in Portland and Washington D.C.
